And before you ask: Coahuilaceratops was assinged to a different formation some time ago and Labocania and Paraxenisaurus... lets just say, no. Just no.

what many don't know is that deinocheirus had a smaller, less completely known relative in mexico called paraxenisaurus. it is the only member of the deinocheiridae known from laramidia, and is a relatively recent discovery, being named in 2020

I think given the publication of the new Genus Mexidracon, I think now is the perfect opportunity to reexamine the holotype and supposed paratypes of Paraxenisaurus and, to a lesser extent, "Saltillomimus"
it could be very interesting to see how all of those compare to one another in morphology.

Dino Fact!

Paraxenisaurus (Strange Lizard) is a deinocheirid ornithomimosaurian from Late Cretaceous Mexico! It is the very first member of the Deinocheiridae family to be discovered in North America, as well as the first one to be found outside of Asia! Its holotype-(1/2)

paraxenisaurus' smaller size in comparison to deinocheirus makes it considerably more plausible that this animal was fully-feathered, since feathering was a widespread trait among ornithomimosaurs

regardless, paraxenisaurus is a fascinating animal that lived alongside many equally remarkable creatures, and hopefully future discoveries of additional material will continue to expand our knowledge of it

Definitiv Paraxenisaurus! Die wirken immer so, als hätte sie ein Dreijähriger aus verschiedenen Dinoteilen zusammengebastelt und sich dann vor Lachen in die Hosen gemacht. Das fühl ich total, weil ich nämlich auch so aussehe.

Correction for me: Paraxenisaurus 2020 from Mexico, not S America.
