“Sean Feucht Ministries Inc. owns several significant properties that are classified as ‘parsonages’ - a term typically referring to housing provided for religious leaders or ministry staff.”

Such parsonages come with special, tax exempt allowances. Religion is big business in the US of A.
WHISTLEBLOWER REPORT ON SEAN FEUCHT

This is wild! A full-blown website written & sourced from ex-employees & ex-leaders in Sean Feucht's various ministries detailing his abuses, financial misconduct, & general scumball-ery.

Let me detail why this is important... 1/

Tax the rich

Especially those who don’t pay taxes. Who call their 40 room mansions “parsonages”!

He, and other pastors, write off their homes as "parsonages," living there tax-free. It's past time for the IRS to tax the churches; the original tax-free status was because churches took some social services burdens off of the state, but THIS has gone entirely too far.

Quilt of the many parsonages I lived in as a preacher's kid. #quilting #quilt #improvquilter

I believe there should be property tax on “parsonages” that are over a certain % of local median home value. A “faith leader” living in a place like this is obscene.

Also- Tax the wealth theology/Christian nationalist churches enough so that their parsonages are no longer mansions and their pastors no longer have private jets.
December 7, 2024 at 3:09 PM
Lol. That should say *parsonages* not *personages*, meaning homes provided by the church they served.

Feucht, of course, is one of Trump evangelical cheerleaders.

Sean Feucht Ministries has acquired three parsonages in California, Montana and Washington, D.C. Meanwhile, Sean Feucht has acquired 10 personal properties. Does Feucht receive housing allowances in addition to parsonages?

What do you expect from a religion whose ‘men of god’ live in $10.5 million ‘parsonages’?

Pencil sharpener.
Not quite this old,but still ubiquitous.

Meetings.

Why do so many Christian leaders (particularly CN adherents) get along so well with oligarchs?

Well, ask Sean Feucht how many homes he owns and what his salary is.

Rapture observation (1):

Pastor Copeland’s mansion has its own runway & a fleet of jets.

Doubt he’s touched a steering wheel in years—chauffeurs got that.

But with tomorrow's Rapture, Pastor, you won’t need it all.

Pass it on.

Don't worry, the Lord will not leave you behind with the savages!!
America's richest pastor avoids $150,000 in annual taxes on a $7 million Texas mansion that he said God told him to build, report says
Kenneth Copeland built a giant mansion in 1999, then used a loophole in Texas law for "parsonages" to exempt it from property taxes.

My dad always lived in parsonages until he managed to buy a home late in life but we knew lots of old preachers who never retired because they had no home! Crazy

Folks do not have to pay federal taxes. That's a choice. But it's a choice with a risk. I suggest we all do as the Speaker of the House does; claim all our real estate as Parsonages and all our income as gifts and tips. /s/

A few UMC pastors in my conference did this too on July 2 but they resurfaced rather quickly in GMC parsonages
A UMC pastor in the conference where I went to college did this. He was found eventually and wasn't running from the law but just didn't show up to church and the parsonage was empty

Lutherans, at least, have pastors living in parsonages. Of course I was raised Presbyterian, where we had ministers, addressed with the honorific Reverend, who lived in manses

Controversial statement: I like parsonages that are right next to the church for parenting and breastfeeding reasons.*

*Caveat: I've only ever lived in one by the church where my boundaries were respected.

Nope, it's just denominational. Anglican churches have rectories, other Protestants have parsonages. I can't remember offhand what Catholics have
