i’m starting to see kaihua grow up under dense canopy in the waimapihi reserve in pōneke. it’s going to be beautiful treetop flowers soon 🥰

here it is living up to it’s latin name (parsonsia heterophylla)- the variety of leaf forms (small clubs, round, long and serrated) on young plants are amazing

one of the big changes in the waimapihi is the increased prevalence of young kaihua (nz jasmine).

here living up to it’s latin name (parsonsia heterophylla) - the variety of leaf forms on young plants.
