These pieces from Virginia potter Phillip Strauss of @pasceramics features Opal MBG-055 from Coyote's Archie's glaze line. You can achieve stunning and amazingly varied results with a single glaze, or truly spectacular effects by layering over other glazes.

Another weekend in the books. Had a great time at Ix this Saturday and got a few good rides in. I have what feels like 300 things to get glazed this week and two massive orders I gotta start throwing later in the week.

A couple of my little wiggle wire cups. I love the way the glaze breaks over the texture.

More tests with clay bodies. This time the rainforest / snow combo on tan, dark brown, & red clay. I like the green on the tan clay but I love the depth of the green on the red clay.

It’s been a very busy last few weeks. Lots of glazing and throwing. It’s nice to finally have a morning to sit down and relax. Here’s some cups from one of my recent kiln unloads sporting two of my favorite glazes.

More soap dispensers coming soon! I’m excited for my new batch of soap dispensers to get fired so I can glaze them in some of my spring themed glazes.

A couple satin matte white sponge holders on two different clay bodies - Standard 225 & Scott’s Red. I find it interesting that the clay body doesn’t have that much of an effect on the white glaze.
Glaze used - Amacos Satin White
