Someone on reddit was talking about pasteurization being the act of adding chemicals they add to pasture 😂. We are screwed guys. Imma stick to plant based milk.

Hi! I just joined Bluesky because Zuckerberg finally motivated me enough to leave IG. I’m really into grazing sheep and human-scale, pasture-based farming. If you’re not then you def don’t want to follow me! Have a nice day now.

We enclosed the entire pasture in void fence (a transposed length of the interstellar vacuum); regrettably, the cattle still escape, construct hay-based pseudo-rockets

New study: we found that small reductions in pasture-based beef production in some areas, especially in temperate, humid regions like the Eastern US & Europe, could lead to large amounts of CO2 removal by regrowing native forests. Here's an explainer 🧵 www.nyu.edu/about/news-p...
Small Reductions to Meat Production in Wealthier Countries May Help Fight Climate Change, New Analysis Concludes
Eliminating fraction of current beef production could remove three years’ worth of global fossil fuel emissions

I was also barely an adult with no prior work experience at the time. I was hired based on a whim by another staff member. There was no interview, no background check, just a "hey do you want this job?" Lmao

So yeah, I'm shocked it ran as well as it did for so long

Time to retire it to the pasture

Akin to the HBO+/MAX rebranding fiasco.
Fix the PRODUCT, not the name.
Cut the deadwood, bring in fiery, FACT based talent. Like Rachel's caliber back when she was on 5x/week. Bring back THOSE staffers.
Most importantly, cut the trump apologists, put Joe/Mika & Melber out to pasture!

This is not a dunk! Hello Chicago Sun-Times we are a tiny publisher based out of some guy’s house in a pasture in Missouri but we publish real books written by real human writers and we would die for this amount of coverage!
We are looking into how this made it into print as we speak. It is not editorial content and was not created by, or approved by, the Sun-Times newsroom. We value your trust in our reporting and take this very seriously. More info will be provided soon.

Really good read on NZ progress on ‘sciencing’ our way out of cow burp greenhouse gas. There’s overseas progress on a methane inhibitor but it won’t work with our pasture based system. stuff.co.nz/environment/...
Is a $90m project to cool cow burps working?
In the race to reduce cow emissions, a government-funded research centre has been beaten to the finish line.

Ever since my friends dragged me kicking and screaming into the anime horse girl game, I’ve learned that may of the real horses they’re based on are no longer alive. Terrified, I went to check on my GOAT, Gold Ship, and he’s happily living the retired life on a big farm in Hokkaido :)

European countries want Brazil to increase forest conservation (it certainly can). But some of the world's best opportunities to spare & restore carbon in native forests—while displacing the least food production—actually lie in Europe. Our analysis shows this: www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/...

Meanwhile, in Colombia:

Silvopasture in Latin America can help boost productivity of beef and dairy per hectare, reduce deforestation, increase land-based carbon stocks (relative to pasture without trees), improve soil moisture and health, and increase resilience to a changing climate.
This Colombian 'hotel for cows' could help reduce deforestation in the Amazon
Clearing land for cattle and cows is the single biggest driver of rainforest loss in the Amazon. This "hotel for cows" in Colombia offers a solution.
