I made a fursuit head with my friends @edgebirb.bsky.social & @lasheika.bsky.social !! Took us a while to get it done, but it was fun
Edgeborb did the 3D model for the head, printing teeths and eyebrows and Sheika did all the shaving. I did the sewing and patterning (paws pattern by sheenitude)

Another favorite from the Ashmolean’s Aphrodite exhibition was this 3rd century CE relief from the Bremenium Roman Fort in Northumberland of Venus flanked by two attendants. The signage describes it as having a “Celtic-British style”; it reminds me of the Rudston Venus mosaic. :)

Today's #BirdOfTheDay theme is #Yellow and this male #CapeMayWarbler delivered in spades! I was transfixed as I watched bob around a few branches, the striking patterning caching my eye!

Don't sleep on store bought cosplays if you don't feel confident patterning from scratch! Here is one example, just what I did to replace the Watchman plate on the back, while still salvaging some of the pieces I liked. Not a total waste, but WHAT A TEXTURE IMPROVEMENT. 🤌 I'm very proud.

The stone itself is known as porcelain jasper. Some call it "sci-fi jasper," for its unusual combination of hues and its filament-like patterning, but its original colloquial name suits these better, I think.
