More #Duviri themed patternwork, this time with bleach painting & overdye. Didn't put down a grid first because I am a fool.
Not sure what I'm doing with this. Maybe an applique on a jacket or something? Hoodie? Another panel replacement on my coat?

Modified off a freddie w/ billy chassis [lengthened] and a thomas smokebox up front. I am extensively proud of her, I did tweak her livery by adding a pair of yellow bands to frame her patternwork, and I love the look!
Very proud of her, she set the Big Tank Engine style going forward...

well, id like to be a little more experimental i guess… id like to incorporate more patternwork and more varied imagery and make much denser compositions… im gradually working my way up to it… none of this really matters too much, i enjoy everything i make…

The patternwork of the IKEA Blahaj is so fucking funny after examining it during disassembly. Pile direction is a suggestion and one of the panels makes it look like its smiling so silly. Also, the material used is specifically 5mm Pile Minky but IKEA has its own dye job.

This trip made me fall in love with Mycenaean and Archaic pottery and patternwork. Everything I found cold and rigid about later Greek vases and early Greek statues, here, is so cartoony and flawed and endearing and full of invention and pattern.
