#pattyandsurrealism
Patty sees surrealism as art which questions conventions. She rejects linear thinking and wants to mutate genre. I feel like my SME No. 3 creates a sense of dream logic when employing different imagery connected together by a loose theme. #hwa7 #pattyandsurrealism

I forgot her exact words. But I remember a little about her viewpoint of realism. Realism is like the time when we don't see others.
Her arts is abstract. And she reveals the conflict and emotions hidden in our lives via the arts.

#hwa7 #pattyandsurrealism She explains it as making things from real life. A mash up of the store bought props to combine into one series. I use dream logic in my own video.

Patty uses surrealism but it's very light and for everyday type of stuff. To be honest, in my own work I don’t really incorporate surrealism at all, maybe for some stuff but not all of it. #hwa7 #pattyandsurrealism

Patty sees surrealism as a way of scrambling things that already exist or feel familiar instead of totally losing reality. This connects to my SME as I did something similar, my visuals didn't really match the narration which allows a new meaning.

#hwa7 #pattyandsurrealism patty’s version of surrealism is taking things that we recognize and puttting them in a box or an unknown area where everything feels out of place. I haven’t done this in my film yet but, I feel like I’ve been inspired to

#hwa7 #pattyandsurrealism Patty connects that surrealism in acting is people acting is both them and acting and also not. Their acting plays with the idea of "real" where the media people are acting for can be considered "real" at the moment. I believe I am using dissonance as my tracks differ

She says that now is a good time to question rationality and to understand why certain orders are in place. Art should be linear and how is it breaking genre. #hwa7 #pattyandsurrealism

I understood Patty as keeping surrealism’s strange combinations while rejecting weirdness that is only random. My SME No. 4 also places a personal voice beside mechanical paper movements. I want that clash to create tension, not just look strange.

#hwa7 #pattyin209 #pattyandsurrealism 3. Patty said that people acting was and wasn't real. Like the actors in that moment are playing though characters and it is "real." I think in my SME 2 when acting the audio, it is its own little world the interview between the cop and Jesscia.
