Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden v0.7: Made female peachick visible again.

The peachick, for instance, starts foraging the moment its egg hatches and, after ~2 weeks, can roost in trees to escape predators. This places positive selection pressure on the polgyny mechanism, as males who mate with many can have successful offspring regardless of direct paternal care.

I’ve been seeing the peachicks flaring their tails more lately. They definitely got Fin’s bitchiness. This is Melinoë trying to get sassy with Fin (it didn’t work).

*Thermodosa - spellcheck is useless when I need it!

Here’s a better picture of them where you can see the difference better. Astarion by himself, Melinoë and Thermodosa together. Only 2 out 5 of this year’s babies being male isn’t bad for my flock. Usually the other way round.

A (slightly) better look at the peachicks to give a better look at the difference between Astarion (first), Thermodosa (second), and Melinoë (third). If I could get them to stand next to each other, that’s also the order they go largest to smallest.

Baby: a peachick. A baby chick. ME! Music video (fames within a frame). "There's a lot of cool chicks out there" then Brendon Urie sits on a couch in front of a gallery wall filled with chicken artwork.

Brendon=the man hiding in plain sight. Both sides of Taylor in frame at all times through EGGS.

Better look at Aramis/Stumpy’s toe. It was a clean cut at the knuckle, so, as long as we avoid infection, they should be okay. They are not happy I keep handling them, though.

Anyway. Here’s another picture from yesterday evening. All 3 of the peachicks look exactly the same, more or less white on the wings. I probably won’t be able to tell if they are male/female for another 3-4 months.

We had a medical emergency! Someone followed in their father’s footsteps and had a piece of fishing line type string wrapped around their tiny little toes!

They did really well! Even with Korben losing his absolute mind over a bird being in the house (he’s supposed to be a LSGD 🤷🏻‍♀️) didn’t put of a fight at all. This is the one I had to help hatch and is the smallest of the three.

That’s good, as it can show them what’s not true.
For example a peachick is drab, not coloured like a peacock.
