Additional reactivation cues include tumor-derived factors tenascin-C and Coco (which antagonizes BMP to release the dormancy brake via integrin-dependent FAK signaling; phosphorylated FAK is indicated as pFAK), sprouting angiogenesis (which supplies TGF-β1 and periostin), and activation of integrin-dependent ERK–MLCK signaling triggered by alterations in the ECM (e.g. fibrotic ECM and/or remodeling of laminin by NET-derived proteases like MMP9). Together, these opposing endothelial, epithelial, stromal and matrix inputs determine whether DTCs remain dormant or undergo metastatic outgrowth in the lung. I hope some of you Princess enthusiasts would be well fed for the century by this collage that I put together for like a a week because I would not be pushing myself to make something like this again until like, 2 or 3 years. What would've been a funny Pearl army fanart soon quickly evolved into a "drawing Pearl everyday until Pear1 day starts" process because I needed to lay it down proper... only to not count anymore because I missed it by 3 days since I still had more Pearls to draw individually... actually, I'd argue that it was actually April Fools day, meanwhile P3arl day actually takes place in 3rd april, so you all have been fooled into thinking that you would get art based on that over there from me. (GOT'EM!) Had to compress this fanart by bit to make it friendly enough for the sites. Both for properly loading for posting and viewing (the initial size was bonkers), so I would post each of these Pearls individually in more clear quality, but at this point, I'm taking a gooood rest. Also because I drew them separately, some of them may not be scaled properly if you zoom in a little (just thought about pointing it out for all of you bigger perfectionists than I) Enjoy the Pearls. The paper points out that PEAR1 has a role in platelet aggregation, explaining several platelet related traits at the locus.
Further, SVEP1 is a ligand for PEAR1, explaining more platelet traits and a trans-pQTL at PEAR1 for SVEP1.

Observations of PEAR1:p in blood plasma are characteristic of the full length sequence, suggesting that they correspond to platelets not removed during plasma isolation, while those in urine only contain the N-terminal extracellular portion of the protein.

Human platelet endothelial aggregation receptor 1 (PEAR1:p) is the equivalent of an acid trip for AF2, generating something that is more of a Rorschach test than a physical model. All of those EGF-like domains in a row in a type I membrane protein is significantly outside of its comfort zone.
