Lol I didn't make that connection! Yeah it's in the notes for the video and on the peghead. Hartford was a big influence on Danny Barnes, my favorite banjo player. I've been watching Wes Corbett's tutorials on Peghead Nation and they're really good.

Figuring out which pieces of wood will become the peghead assemblies for three dulcimers I'm working on.
Some of these will be resawn for peghead overlays, others will become pegheads and the parts that support the peghead.

This makes sense as a way to attach a big witch hat to a figure's head and make it movable but on its own it just looks like the return of Terry "Peghead" Bogard.

I usually bevel the edges of the pegheads on my dulcimers, and I enjoy doing this kind of thing. I use a small plane, knives, a file and a scraper, and sometimes, a touch of fine sandpaper to get rid of any fuzz or irregularities that never happen... 🙃

I love this banjo picking ghost. The best part for me is that the ghost is playing a Boucher banjo, which has that unmistakable scroll-shaped peghead. I like the way the shape of the peghead is echoed in the ghost’s shroud.
Okay, the first prompt for #AuGhost26 was "any & all ghosts" which is a freebie for today since I hadn't made the prompt list yet
