In 1979 our family was returning to Oxford after a day in London. All along the train ride home we saw bonfires and fireworks. This was the first time I saw the celebrations on Guy Fawkes Day. #PennyForTheGuy

It's Bonfire Nigh tomorrow but one thing that interests me which I only found out when writing Gazpacho's Bonfire Night is that it was the law that the country had to celebrate it.
