Apparently the most effective strategy for dealing with washed up dumbfucks to invoke periodicity to help them self actualize.

Can I now get a formal dissertation from the actors in play explaining how we’ve arrived at such a dumb fucking crossroads?

Periodicity in reminder:

What if they’re just dumb people.

glaciation may or may not follow some astronomical periodicity [long-period variance of solar radiation?], so we may not agree on that as a medium-term pressure, but we can probably agree on long-term pressures.

The fanciest Claude / GPT models are doing pretty insane work now. Grad student-level data analytics code on periodicity of stellar spectra, and inferring planetary masses / Kepler-derived distances?

Yeah as you said: not super hard. Open models should be fine.

Charles Marvin b #OTD 1858 (d 5 June 1943) Chief of the U.S. Weather Bureau, he pioneered the use of periodograms, spectral analysis, & probability-based tests of periodicity to assess evidence for recurring meteorological cycles and distinguish meteorological signals from random variation & noise.

the periodicity of the 50/50 figure is interesting. seems to occur on a 5 year cycle vs world cup in 4 year cycles

curious how possession % then relates to goal differential. dichotomizing goal differential into a binary win/loss may be obscuring some detail here.

JADE ELIZABETH FRENCH. Modernist Poetics of Ageing: The Late Lives and Late Styles of Mina Loy, Djuna Barnes, and H.D
Much has been written on the issue of modernist periodicity, and indeed on its hubristic ally, canonicity—when did it start, when did it end, who fits best

The periodicity in here showing that Bluesky has the greatest positive sentiment when the Americans are asleep is hardly surprising but it's interesting it's so stark.

Lifting Periodicity from Residue Orbits for Generalized Collatz Maps over Dedekind Domains of Global Type
AbstractWe study Hasse-type Collatz maps over a Dedekind domain A of global type. Let F be such a map, with a nonzero nonunit divisor d in A, given on each residue class a in A/dA by F(x)=(m_a x-r_a)/...

El Nino is hard to predict because it's a mathmatically chaotic phenomenon that doesn't have a regular periodicity (it's not exactly every 7 years). They can usually figure it out the summer before based on sea water temperatures. Climate change has made a lot of the forecasting harder.
