PotShot! Today's vintage pottery is a tea set by Zanesville Stoneware Company. I feel this set is unique, as I haven't seen another quite like it. The most distinctive feature about it is the square spout on the teapot! There may have been a lid on the sugar, or perhaps it's now on the teapot?

More balance to tip the scales toward the happiez... pot! Pottery, that is, don't get all excited. I can't afford that kind. This is Edwin Knowles, Yorktown shape. Look at those colors!! And all those different sizes of plates! More in captions.

The overall flatness of the white balancing gives it all a pixie bluish glaze in all of the light values of the tooth, like reducing the whitepoint and then just flattening but bringing the blue curve up a tad. So it’s just flat periwinkly and then ULTRAMARINE edges to sudden white pinpoints!

It's a lovely, periwinkly, almost purplish blue!! And there's nothing like these shapes. Beyond asymmetrical. He did some very nifty teapots, too. They are marked only with a large, hand-inscribed "N". Some day I will find an incredible one I can afford.
