Persaeus

...Zeno keeps at least person in bandage (Persaeus). Seneca (a late Stoic source) says that Zeno didn't keep enslaved people. What's the truth? If only we had more surviving sources. Persaeus is an even more shadowy figure. Was hs kept in the house enslaved? Or was he perhaps Zeno's life partner?

'Are we [Christians] going to blame Philosophers for encouraging slaves to turn and lead a virtuous life, as Pythagoras did Zamolxis, and Zeno did Persaeus, or as they did who very recently won Epictetus to the side of Philosophy?' (Origen of Alexandria, "Against Celsus").
