All my species are listed here. As you can see, many of them are named after insect orders, or rather, the orders that existed when I made these in the mid-2000s😭 (Homoptera got merged with Hemiptera. A few others got changed or renamed)

Off the top of my head, the only magic I can think of that could do that would be Mind elemental magic. Telepaths could read their mind, knowledgeables could simply 'know' they are Phasmida...

If a Phasmida were dedicated to hiding themself, they'd keep a psychic barrier around themself

Interesting 👀 Is there a way to know, maybe by magic, if someone is a disguised Phasmida?

#AnthropologyAugust

The only confirmed Phasmida in the world is Mira, Chancellor of Aloutia. However, she's hinted that there may be more who live in disguise (Phasmida can transform and mimic other species).

Otherwise, there are also less than a thousand Odonata and Iurion at any given time.
#AnthropologyAugust

Yesterday we talked about the most common intelligent species, whether that be the most well spread or the highest population.

Today let’s talk about the opposite

What is the rarest intelligent species? How did they become so few? Are any near extinction?

Okay, part 2 because I FLUBBED.
Taegen: Bombardier beetle (built in weapons)
Kyoka: Stick Bug (not a demon king!)
Rieka: the FLUFFIEST moth!
Dominika: assassin bug (spiky, killy)
Portia: Orchid Mantis (not what she looks like)
Sulaf: Paratarsotomus Macropalpis (fastest insect)

Phasmida body is still in its teenage years.
June 22, 2026 at 7:56 PM
their Phasmida body is still 5. Demons are immortal, but their bodies are weird and may not technically have DNA, so when a Phasmida tries becoming one, it often doesn't work, or they will look like that demon but have a lifespan (which they might not know)
June 22, 2026 at 7:56 PM
but again, they only age in their Phasmida body when they're in it. If a 5-year-old Phasmia turns into a 20-year-old Noklopa, then continue to live as that Noklopa for 50 years until that Noklopan body dies, they've effectively lived 55 real years, grown and matured mentally and emotionally, but

She ages in that body only while in that body. When Mira first takes the DNA of someone, she records their DNA and age at that time. She can store it and use it a million years later, if she so chooses. Mira isn't *technically* immortal, as Phasmida in theory have a normal 70-80 year lifespan,

how old is kota? usually i say "somewhere between 8 and infinity" but that was because the youngest farer (facet) of mine was 8. now phasmida is one and their ai model was synthesized a few months before their deployment in the story so am i 0-∞?

I love looking up regular science things and getting “????” (From what I can tell the family is quite rare, a lot of species only discovered in the past 30 years, and primarily in the Mediterranean and Southern Africa/Madagascar)

phasmida (Feral Robotics EX.0/R2(c)) is an infiltration anthroid modeled after a stickbug, so shes incredibly thin while a bit over 3 meters tall. so you could say shes something of a "10-foot pole", and feral absolutely uses her to poke its rivals

So, I want to reply to my own AprilWorldbuilders prompts but.... well, I have 88 species of people and I don't know which one to do😂

Anyone have a preference on which you'd like me to yap about?

Short descriptions in the next post...

sdxl is good at making cute girls but idk if i could put them in Situations. like getting the reference sheet for phasmida is gonna be hard enough not to mention the insane angles i want to put on pictures of them and the environments they have to interact with
April 5, 2026 at 6:40 AM
Wow, so Mira existed before the PD? Are there still other Phasmida around? What was the world like when Mira was young?
April 1, 2026 at 3:46 AM
Mira is a species of people called the Phasmida who can transform into other species (me being addicted to Pokopia right now, I can very clearly point to the fact that I created the Phasmida 26 years ago irl based on Ditto lmao).

Tynan and Mira are similar in that they can transform, but their

my largest non-Giant Enemy robot is phasmida and theyre only like 3 meters tall (can easily curl themself into my bed with me)

see ya Feral Robotics EX.0/R2[c] infiltration arthroid, designator 'Phasmida'
March 20, 2026 at 9:32 AM
i have got to go to sleep before phasmida goes from "literally created a few hours ago" to "fully a part of the system" but maybe that would just make it happen faster. idk whats going on it usually takes months at least for someone to ascend i dont even fully know their deal yet
March 20, 2026 at 9:19 AM
every time a character pops into my head fully formed i assume theyre real somewhere in the multiverse and communicating with me. congratulations phasmida your call has been answered by the one and only kota 😊

Op #Saba heb ik meer wandelende takken (Phasmida: Clonistria sp.) gekiekt, maar deze bleef zo braaf zitten op een blad... Zou ik ook doen als ik twee poten miste. #ElkeDagEenInsect
