I am facing away from the camera carrying my trekking poles in a vast plain with low vegetation that has turned brown with the autumn chill. There are rocky mostly treeless peaks in the distance with a dusting of new snow. The sky is blue. Two backpackers are silhouetted in the distance as the descend a rocky trail. Some tall firs li e the trail and the sun is lighting up a tall peak in the distance that has fresh snow. The sky has streaks of grey and white clouds.
