Fountain pen bitching. It’s a Pineider, also forgot to mention that the piston is stupidly stiff. It can write very pretty, but def on its own terms.

This is the 'broad quill' from Pineider! (I love it -- it's completely impractical for normal everyday writing but for shorter things like cards or to-do lists I ADORE it)

I have a Pineider Avatar with a tiny tiny skyline of Florence engraved on the cap band and every time I use it The Homesickness, It Descends. Gorgeous pen though.

Also (yes both my meetings this morning were people like "OH SORRY I CAN'T MAKE IT/WILL BE DRASTICALLY LATE" so I am hanging out on Bluesky): the outcome of "Oh, this pen only has a little bit of ink left, I'll use it up and clean it out." Three times in a ROW.

It’s my Frankenpen! I hated the piston filling system on my Pineider but the nib was so nice; I ripped it off and put it on my TWSBI Vac700R. 🤣

Filled my Pineider with the broad quill nib (an ink-thirsty beaste) with a new sample, Diamine Masquerade... not WILD about the base colour (a purpley/mauvey brown) but there's so much shimmer it almost looks like liquid metal??

In addition to swatching my fountain pen inks, I also inked up 4 new pens. Top to bottom: Jinhao, Hongdian, Pineider, and Monteverde. I can't recall the model names. Unlike last month, I don't have a favorite yet.
