Some progress pics.
Had issues with his tail but found a compromise in the end.
This was inspired by a reference on Pinterest, but I was able to find the original photoshoot:

Use reference, use tutorials, read anatomy books, reference your favorite art, take your own photographs, steal a pose or a dress or a color from a photo you got off pinterest.
Your brain is not going to fart out art da Vinci level work if you don't study what real shit looks like.

Use reference. I’m serious. I get it that somehow you or someone convinced you that using reference is “cheating.” It’s not. You are just hindering yourself.

crazy how, for hundreds of years, the classic image of a painter has been someone painting something that is right in front of them, but artists in the age of google and pinterest have decided that's cheating now somehow. not using reference is shooting yourself in the dick for no reason, lol

All this reference talk going on, ngl I just sit there and think "yeah that'll work" and I get to drawing.
Although, there are some occasions where I'll use a reference to get my brain going (usually for outfits + poses).
I have a massive Pinterest board for that anyways.

Day 9: I was trying to find reference for this oc concept and the majority of the concepts on Pinterest just had the same themings and looked a bit boring to me. I do feel like a lot more can be done for a Oc that shouldn’t obey common logic (same for mine too)
