… mornings …

… and dreams …

I swam Across oceans Of dreams To hold you In the sunlight That bathed you, With your head Against my chest, Kissing you softly And touching your hair. We made Stillness For each other, As the late summer sun Turned our bodies Into gold, And we spoke In soft voices And silent touches. The world moved Around our calm, But did not Move us. I want to lay Beside my lover, And trace the words Of our passion Across their body, Each letter Written across their skin, Each verse Punctuated with a kiss. I want to write Love letters To them, On them, So that we remember What we've done With our bodies, Reliving The touch of our bodies, In the words Being written Along the curve of hips, The roundness of breasts, And the softness Of welcoming thighs - All the body / A poem.
