Lovely to see the Lagunaria, Norfolk Island Hibiscus is getting its flower on. Lovely things, and all over Newcastle NSW.

A sweet little pink flower with five pink petals, and in the centre a stem with bunches of yellow clusters and finally a little cream coloured "flower" at the end. The leaves are a soft green and there's lots of unopened buds. More of these flowers amongst leaves and lots of unopened buds.

Spring is certainly here. A bit cloudy this morning, but this gymea lily doesn't mind. Lovely and warm, definitely shorts weather.

A gymea lily with two flower spikes. The plant has long green leaves coming up from a central base at the ground, to about 1 metre. The flower spikes are thin and long, to about 3 metres, with a collection of red flowers at the ends. A large stone stands in front of the lily, the edge of a derelict train station platform behind the lily. Trees and suburbia beyond.

The Dianella berries are turning purple, yay!

A couple of stems with round purple berries, against long green leaves and some coastal rosemary. Even more Dianella berries, some purple but most still green.
