An adorable Platyhelminthes! I see that the classification has changed, so this is now subphylum Rhabditophora? Anyhoo, a real cutie!

I’m not sure what this is - best guess is some kind of Trematode (Platyhelminthes). Let me know if you know!

This is the cercaria larva of a parasitic flatworm (Trematode) from the family Bucephalidae. These Platyhelminthes parasitise bivalves and fish.

I don’t find these little dudes very often, so it was a pleasure to see this fella! This is the cercaria larva of a Trematode worm (a parasitic Platyhelminthes - flatworm). It’s got a fine groove going there!

Yay, another Müller’s larva! It’s only my second ever! This is a larval stage of some Turbellaria Platyhelminthes (flatworms). I think he looks like a little ghost 👻👻👻👻👻

When will folks understand that this -> 👻 <- is not a ghost emoji. This is a Műller’s larvae emoji! Silly people 🙄.

Műller’s larvae are a developmental stage of some flatworms (Platyhelminthes) from the order Polycladida.

I have no idea what this worm is - I’m assuming a Platyhelminthes of some kind? I’d love some insight if anyone knows! This is from last summer, Norfolk UK plankton sample.

Last week there were so many Mullër’s larvae in my plankton sample! These are a life stage of some turbellarians (Platyhelminthes - flatworms) from the order Polycladida. I’m interested to find out more about the lifecycle and seasonality!

@jevbot.bsky.social jev that's not a worm, it's not even an animal. Annelida, platyhelminthes or nematoda? Call it.

Now this is a weird thing. I was thinking this is a Trematode cercaria larva (Platyhelminthes), but I can find anything similar online. What do you think? At the beginning is 15 secs of real time, followed by 15 secs of timelapse. #marineplankton 🦑
