So true. When I was growing up in the '60's my mother sewed all my clothes. Easter dresses, pjs, playclothes, everything. She did it because she loved it and 60 years ago it was still cost effective. Try doing that now when fabric is $20/yd minimum.

At least the murdered G. boy died in a nice spot, in the woods behind T., where his body was found a few months later, buried in a shallow grave.

Ooo good question. I’m less of a onesie person and enjoy playclothes more. I love primary colors, looser fits, Im a big fan of big shirt with diaper peeking out, and I also love chunky sneakers ❤️

i thought of that after i posted, and the curtain playclothes in the sound of music, too (which are even more plot relevant imo, whereas i’d say gwtw is more character development—not that character and plot and really extricable).

Oh I know this one! It's because of fire safety standards. Anything a kid sleeps in has minimum requirements for fire safety. Day clothes not so much. So they put pockets on to reduce their liability by being able to claim those are playclothes not jammies.
