In a tiny village in Somerset in the 1980s:
3 year old me: "when I grew up I want to be a boy"

I don't think I got the idea from Playschool or watching Narnia

One of my favorite moments of my day was the Very Young girl in the playschool section of the community gym who, as they were all playing Hide & Seek, got into a big plastic dollhouse while absolutely screaming, "I'M HERE! I'M IN HERE! IF YOU CAN'T FIND ME IT'S BECAUSE I'M HIDING IN HERE!!!"

This rant inspired by finding out that my youngest children were sent to playschool & kindergarten today not only without their halloween costumes for their class parades, but without any coats, in -4°C (24.8°F), with snow on the ground.

I cried twice while watching playschool this morning. It was so beautiful - a lovely yarn about how the stars came to be and this wonderful gigantic puppet called Fauna
I tried watching Bake off but I kept getting too happy and crying

This may only qualify as injury. My siblings are the ones who had all the accidents:

- fell on PlaySchool item, bit through lip

- chipped front tooth playing tetherball

- chipped front tooth on dining table laughing at brother w/chipped tooth

- shank of wood through toe stepping on shingle

I think it was the Playschool clock and that was (ostensibly) a demarcation dispute in a different year.

For me it was:

#StarWars, Jan 1978, ABC Cinema in Luton.

My nan took me out of playschool early to go and see a matinee screening.

For me it was the booming music of the 20th Century Fox music giving way to the opening scrawl and then the emergence of the Star Destroyer... was captured.
First film you saw at the cinema. The real first one, not the pretend one you tell people!

Mine: The Empire Strikes Back, 1980, Wigan. We were near the front and I can still remember how massive the AT-ATs looked, looming over us out of the snow :)

Film, year, where, and whatever stuck with you.
