Tonight the Moon will pass in front of the Pleaides. This is a naked-eye event, although binoculars might help as the bright Moon may overwhelm the 7 sisters.

I’m really impressed with these iPhone photos tonight
1) Pleaides and the crescent Moon
2) Zoom in on the Moon showing visible maria!

One thing that will always be true about me is that I cannot spell Pleaides. Pleiades. Plieades.

So. It's not great, but it's also my first try. This is my first try at astrophotography. The Pleaides, photographed on my T6S and 70-200, on top of the Star Adventurer 2i.

The Great Pleaides Complex! A new study, led by Andrew Boyle, identified the diffuse remnants of this cluster and trace them back to the same natal cloud! Truly impressive how much we can learn with Gaia an TESS data even on an open cluster as famous as the Pleaides.

These are stunning!

[alt-text: In the lower right of the image is the Moon. A small portion of it, in the shape of a crescent is over-exposed and bright. The remaining portion is illuminated by Earth shine, revealing the surface detail. In the centre of the image is the Pleaides star cluster]

Highlight reel from my first camera looking south last night: The Pleaides and Jupiter over a nice long lenticular, then Orion breaking through, followed by some really lovely cloud iridescence.

We have family here for the weekend, and last night we built a small fire and sat outside. Now that the leaves have fallen we can see more sky, and the Pleaides were so clear none of us could believe it. I like living in the rural country! Tonight I'll see if I can get some pix.

Sharks (as a species) are older than the stars that comprise the Pleaides.

I'm not saying the prices of singles isn't an issue, but i am so unbelievably tired of hearing about it. LSS has no financial incentive to not have cards in people's hands

pleaides is so pretty oh my god

one sugar in his tea
just like me
shoes double knotted

but he did like
to look at the stars,
for fleeting moments
he was out there
and in that stare
stars knew him

he didn't say
where he was from
but if I had to guess
I'd say The Pleaides

Frustratingly, I'm dealing with a health flare, but I managed to edit our images of the Pleaides this afternoon. It's astonishing to see how much progress we've made since last October.

Say all you want but among the sisters of the Pleaides, no one can compare to Yuri Alpha. She's obviously the best!

Never thought I would see take another turn in #fabtcg ESPECIALLY in Guardian. Glad to see it locked behind a strong restriction but Pleaides looks SUPER sweet. Can't wait to build with all the new guardian cards.
