She wrote “Home Before Morning” and founded the Vietnam Veterans of America Women’s Project in 1980.

I spent one afternoon looking at my friend Ken's B&W slides from Pleiku - his first stop as an Army photographer during the war.
In hs during Vietnam War I was in a proto-punk folk band. I wrote an antiwar cover, which needed VERY few word changes:
"You keep samin' when you oughta be changin'.
Well what's right is right, but you aint' been right yet.
These boots are made for walking, from Saigon to Pleiku...."
