Maple "looks white" because of white washing snapchat filters she uses on her photos & quite literally being to the fucking sun (PMLE, Polymorphic Light Eruption, a rare skin condition she inherited via her Cherokee blood), & has to take Vitamin D supplements.
That doesn't make her less BIPOC.

The extra strength gel helped sooo much when I had yet another PMLE flare after I returned from St Kitts!

Polymorphous light eruption (PMLE) can also look similar - to the point that I was diagnosed as having an "unexplainable poison ivy outbreak" each summer and it was treated with steroids for a few years. 🙃 PMLE is an immune system reaction to sun and can develop at any time. Impacts ~15% of people.

Took all the precautions while away, so it's not as bad as it could be, but it's worse than I initially thought. Might dip into my Prednisone stash tonight.
