Couldn't do a whole lot of fangame work today. Did have time to set up the MySQL DB tables for my encounter data so that I can read them with my li'l Java program which will run the EXP numbers for balance purposes and output the encounters.txt PBS file.

One part of Pokemon balance that's fascinating is, at low levels, you sometimes have to bump up a base stat by like 15 pts for it to matter at all. Ex: a Lv 12 Pokemon's attack could do exactly the same damage when its ATK base stat is anywhere between 70 and 84

Been messing around a bit with Pokemon Essentials Battle AI stuff to handle custom moves I'm adding to Super Mario Monsters RPG. Took a hot minute to get used to but it's pretty easy to hook new things into it once you get the basic structure.
