People being incredibly ardently pro or anti data centers as like a general concept is one of the dumbest polarizations in a while. It’s actually ok to say ‘ehh it depends on the place’ like you don’t have to have a categorical take on every single abstract platonic ideal.

one of the weird polarizations is how being skeptical of the lab leak theory got filed as being soft on china. if being mad at china is your goal the market spillover hypothesis offers plenty of opportunity

Ol' Ken Rockwell says to not use a polarizer with an ultra-wide but he apparently only uses them to make skies bluer while polarizers definitely have plenty of UWA use for light reflections.

Here's a hologram I made of some cool calcite crystals!
I was trying to see whether hologram calcite crystals make double images behind them like the real ones do, and it looks like the answer is no. I think it has to do with way different polarizations interact with each other at the hologram film

Speaking of Egypt and modern political polarizations, i remember how shocked everyone was, not at MB score, they expected that, at the fact that Suez, bastion of Nasserist pan-Arab socialism and trade unionism, fell fully not to the Ikhwan but to the Salafists
I genuinely dread a free vote in Syria, aftershocks of Egypt 2011, Sharaa winning ANC style bcs its "party of liberation" for ~20 years is genuinely one of the better outcomes
