the nice thing about pollworking is you get to vote exactly at 6am... and also test if you actually set up the machines properly xD

What to do with all the "leftovers" from 20 years of #sockknitting: Knit a "lost sock" shawl from a 150+ YO pattern. It's also a good project to fill the quiet time when #pollworking. #mindlessknitting #knitting #handknitting #knitsky #craftsky #artistlife

Well I decided I needed to focus my efforts by choosing one important, helpful thing and then throwing myself into it. There's lots of ways to do that but I picked pollworking. It's been very rewarding.

Worked at a local nursing home to get the residents their ballots earlier today, set up the polling place for tomorrow's election, and now I'm making signage directing voters to the non-intuitive entrance they have to use.

Never a dull election in Chicago!

Chances are YOUR local elections office needs people too. All hands on deck so every t is crossed & i dotted- no voting irregularities to be exploited. Please consider pollworking as a means to safeguard our rights and our representation. ✊🏽 (Reach out soon! You'll need training beforehand.) 🗳 🇺🇸

Every registered voter should take a turn at pollworking. If they did, they would see all the security and they would know that NO STATE completes its count on election night. In MD we dont even begin counting provisional ballots until July 1st for the June 23rd primary.

The small PA site where I'm pollworking today had 4 folks champing at the bit to #vote right at 7am. Please get out there, everyone who has races today

All have cognitive brain injuries (Fetterman-pilled) and/or incorrectly registered parties (a real thing I've encountered pollworking)

Giuliani gave his lawyers *bupkis* to work with. He didn't even convincingly show remorse, claiming to the media during the Defense phase that he was RIGHT! that those poor women engaged in "Pollworking While Black-er, 'Fraud!'" & that he'd take the stand and prove his case!

Which he didn't.... 🐔🐔🐔

This is the one election where I'm not pollworking, instead I'm on standby to man the emergency operations center in case the SHTF on election night. 😐

Started pollworking in 2016. Three general elections and a score of smaller elections later, I still enjoy every moment helping my neighbours engage in this democratic experiment.

Hey, @BOENYC, after pollworking today, I got a slogan for you:

Come for the sticker, stay for the election!

Create a large menu of options. Require X weeks a year, much of which could be fulfilled in a few summers, or a year. Jury duty and pollworking or other civic volunteering could count. Lots of local public projects. Throw in some minimal defense and emergency response training.

Received a very nice call from Zohran's campaign asking me if I was:
- Planning to vote.
- Planning to vote for him.
- if there were any things he could work on or better clarify his stances on.

When I said I was doing pollworking but would be voting for him, they thanked me for my service.
