The new pool at the Poppleton Rec Center in my neighborhood is excellent! Not sure why it closed weeks earlier than the Sept 4th closing date of every other pool in the city, but it was a really great addition to the summer.

The fare system doesn't help here: Leeds to York on the ECML spur is around a pound cheaper than Leeds to York via Harrogate (officially the Burley Park to Poppleton train). That's insane on so many levels, not least because it's the *cause* of the fake end-to-end destinations.

This is quite common. Sometimes they have replaced worn-out semaphores with new ones, but in (most?) other cases - and particularly where there is a change to the track layout - they have installed LEDs instead, e.g. on the York-Harrogate line at Cattal, Poppleton and Knaresborough.
