Polling is funny. Those "margins of error" are nonsense given the sampling methods and skewed respondent pools, but it's broken in a way that partly captures something important: the credulous dolts who actually answer unsolicited calls, texts, emails, and popups really are the swing voters. 🫠
So anyway here goes, here's my thinking on the midterms:
1) Polling is cooked. The methodology behind modern polling is ridiuclous — incredibly low response rates, batshit weights assigned by pollsters to tiny samples, fradulent polling groups literally using chatGPT to make up fake results.

There's no shortage of tech companies who have fucked up their main product out there now, but I think there's very few that are as comprehensively "Uhhh, what business are we in again?" as AdBlock Plus having popups.

Sounds as though it is time for schools to switch to DuckDuckGo for a search engine. Works just as well, blocks most trackers and popups, and allows the use of AI, if people want it.
