a few highlights from our trip to iceland!!! there wasnt much time to draw, so i focused mostly on remembering the colour palettes for later, and being in the moment – next time @knightofwands.bsky.social and i are bringing actual paints!!

moleskine pocket spread: left page is numbered pencil colour swatches, the right page has the colour names. only two colours are missing from the set of 72. moleskine pocket spread: left page is a study of a fireweed plant, right page is a drawing of a blue building, as well as some sketches of a necklace pendant i fell in lobe with which was sadly wayyyyy too expensive to buy on a whim 🥹 left page: sticker from a tattoo studio, a bit of washi tape saved from the envelope of stickers i bought right page: quick colour swatch collection of a mountain ridge, and a colourmixing test, as well as a stamp from the nakano store in reykjavik left page: bónus receipt. i mostly stick things to left pages so i dont worry about colour transferring with the pencils right page: plein air of a volcano crater with insanely red soil + plant study of wild valerian growing by my husband’s aunt’s house

very old 100 word prompt fill of one enver gortash struggling to place his reaction to a certain near&dear colleague being replaced :’)

Ellipsus snippet: The urge to head to bed strikes first. Cackle cracks across the trio, and he feels his teeth expose in turn. The mildew and coagulating rot, perfuming this golden braid, bear threat of migraine. Beneath his canopy and pillows the impulse only quickens: he needs his bed, although he is within it. Mere presence is not what it misses, mere absence is not what it takes, to twist the world from right to rancid, and he knows this when he stands to dress—he needs to go back to the bed he left this morning, with all its futile expectation.

btw when i say she's short......
#postboxbits
WIP screenshot of a very rough sketch in procreate. two figures are standing together leaning towards each other: enver gortash bent down like a croissant, and bodille (named dark urge) looking all the way up, and approximately at the height of his shoulders. she's also wearing insanely high heels. over the sketch are doodled small notes. one points to enver ("normal height"), another points to bodille ("not normal height") while the third annotates the length of her heel ("girl wtf")

best daughter in all of faerûn! they ran a survey! (she threatened to kill anyone else who considered applying)
#postboxbits
WIP screenshot of a larger illustration, zoomed into the partially rendered head of Bodille (named dark urge). She is a pale, pinkish-blonde half-elven woman with a scar running diagonally across her face and slicing across her neck. Her lips are a dark tone and marked with black spike markings, giving her an almost skull-like look.

procreate perspective tool thank you for my life (and also thank you to my husband for letting me pause critical role to load up (UPDATE then load up!) bg3 for screenshot reference of the specific ornamental piano in the gortash room. no one gets me like you kaj)
#postboxbits
further developed WIP sketch of the same work as the previous post. Bodille (named dark urge), wearing some kind of a short underdress, has her hands on the piano while gortash hovers over her, his hands resting over hers. collaged-on beside them is a forget-me-not flower, snipped by stork-scissors.

a wip closeup of a larger illustration. what is visible is the body of bodille, below the waist and above the knee. around her exposed bare thigh is a metal snake with gemstone eyes. over her other thigh she’s resting her hand, with short yet dirty fingernails.

procreate screenshot. within it are partial renders of enver gortash (baldurs gate) and bodille (named dark urge, baldurs gate). in this wip bodille’s hair is quite pink. gortash is holding her neck with one hand while another holds a red apple. bodille has one of her hands resting on enver’s arm.
