how long is postlaunch depression supposed to last

i think this latest development about alex knocking up his stepsister is the most i've heard about street fighter 6 since the postlaunch period

2 weeks in with AngEra, my thoughts on console sales
- weaker overall than 5 (or 8) years ago. Probably will continue to not base launch strategy on console, steam is far ahead in terms of marketing flexibility
- Nintendo is the winner overall otherwise - curious how postlaunch discoverability is

honestly ending d2 and putting it into continued support mode was the right call, they just should have done it a year ago after a couple of postlaunch things for Final Shape

A video game is a product of the team that made it. Teams take time to cohere, to learn to work together at their best, but at larger studios teams are either being constantly shuffled by dipshit managers or being nuked outright by postlaunch layoffs. There's no continuity any more at that level

23. Super Mario Maker 2

Another game I got diminishing returns on compared to its Wii U counterpart. They really dropped this and dipped. Postlaunch support was pathetic, talk about wasted opportunity.

i actually honestly do not believe most of the developers who make that kind of shit could make a real, self contained game/gameplay loop with a satisfying beginning/middle/end because they are so used to just making endless bullshit designed for FOMO or adding extra shit postlaunch

It's crazy to me that the #wowhousing team was able to consolidate a home with ~3000+ unique, dyed, & positioned items across a dozen rooms into a single ~30 char code & there be no inconsistencies (that I've noticed with resetting / reimporting mine).

Still won't touch it until a week postlaunch 😅

UbiSoft also had to fix it a lot and redo the entire stealth system from what was there at launch. Definitely one of those games that was utterly broken on release and had to win back its audience postlaunch after the company's own PR and the game's unfinished state cut its legs out from under it.

Encounter with Wisteria Widdershin (the real one, not the 1st meet up you already know from the Demo) - may be a bit overtuned ... 👀
If you have trouble with her, wait for the first postLaunch patch. Could be ready by tomorrow, depending on how fast I can wrap up my current run.🥹
