no chrome eu uso uma extensão chamada postlight reader

Been asking myself this the entire year.

The app/sites I have created with models and vanilla code are something I can back to 6 months or 6 years later and still understand, so that is a plus of no framework.

@jim-nielsen.com article is the gold standard:

Fun bit of info for people w/ PCs who sometimes want to read the news w/o giving money to bitchass paywalls: you can often bypass them using Reading Mode on Chrome/Chrome-derived browsers. Postlight does the same thing but looks nicer; it's an extension that strips crap from a website for just text.

postlight/parser: 📜 Extract meaningful content from the chaos of a web page

github.com/postlight/pa...

If you miss Postlight/Mercury Reader (browser extension) as much as I do you may like Defuddled — https://git.sr.ht/~hrbrmstr/defuddled

It is a direct descendant of it that uses the JS defuddled library to do what postlight's heavyweight processor did.

Also […]

@rmounce @rmflight They just used a bit of JS to add the “content blocker / blur” combo. All the text is still there.

I tried having archive.is archive it but it’s still blurred: https://archive.is/urxsn

So I used the Mercury Reader (may be called postlight reader, now) extension to get the […]

My mind goes back to Cathy O'Neil's book "Weapons of Math Destruction" often these days. (I learned about it from an interview on @ftrain.bsky.social's Postlight podcast many moons ago)

Do check this postLight to the preLight I had previously written. Learnt how a preprint improves upon meaningful additions upon peer review!
