I arrived in Berlin last night. I will attend a workshop at the University of Leipzig, "Global Memory Work Amidst Postcolonial and Postmigrant Shifts," and visit museums and sites, including the Statue of Peace in Berlin! I am so glad that it's still there. I also look forward to the workshop!

This was less of a problem for older generations for whom the postmigrant society is not a daily reality. They didn't desert SPD and Linke as much. Of course, older citizens having more/stronger party IDs matters, too.

Klingt nach Postillion, ist es aber leider nicht. Hatte migrant./ postmigrant. Schüler, die Kla-gen-furt (ihren Wohnort) nicht korrekt aussprechen konnten, weil ihnen das nie wer beigebracht hat. Es kam "Klongfuat". So viel z Dialekt. Wer Bauer heißt, kann nur eine Gummistieflerin sein.
