Oh hello.
Here is Skull Vessel 4 for which i am most pleased. The bottom isn’t as blue as I imagined so i will experiment w/ some underglaze or a glaze underneath.
I’ll be doing more of these adding an art deco rib cage 🩻.

Skull Vessel 4.
I went with a fancy interlocking jaw and tongue lid.
For the glazing i used stuff I haven’t tried before, so this should be fun because who needs test tiles - not me. (lol)

Was supposed to fade from orange to turquoise. I used a light flux to achieve drip, but it didn’t turn out as I expected (first time). Next time I’ll just do the fade manually with layers.

Trying out some more adventurous glazing. I typically just focus on underglaze, because i can safely predict the final results. But glazing is like alchemy, and the final results can be a surprise.

Here is my progress so far on the cloud vase #4. Several coats of white over the entire vase. Baby Blue over the sky. I was going to try some new things on this vase because i love fucking around and finding out.

I’m taking a break from the studio for the weekend.
Today i reattached the feet unto vase-3 much more thoroughly & finished the sculpting on vase-4. Next -carve in the wind trails. A bunch of pieces will be out of the kiln Monday as well my order from Blick.

I had to prep the larger vase(3) because the foot broke off. Currently have the two pieces back together -sprizted, with a wet rag in-between, & placed in a bag to sit overnight.
I also forgot to stamp my signature on the bottom of the smaller vase. Okie dokie.

Started another Cloud Vase (#4). This time it’s smaller. I put this one together faster than the first, which was a good feeling. I’m always in competition mode, even with myself.
I bought some glaze from Blick’s and it should be here tomorrow. I still refuse to do test tiles —lol yolo even.

(my favorite is the one most recently made)
Doing a different glaze combo on this one. I was saddened on the last glazing, because (House Floating Blue —SO PRETTY) was so thick and drippy it
