this is categorically insane
r/recruitinghell u/Fast-Application5391 • 1h applied to my own company's job posting under a fake name. rejected in 6 minutes. I lead a team of nine. We've had a desperate need for a senior associate role since april and hr keeps telling me the pipeline was thin, nothing passing screening. So last month i made a new email, changed my name, tweaked the dates, and applied to my own req with essentially my own cv. The CV of the person who wrote the job description and brother i was auto-rejected in six minutes! Took a week to work out why. the filter was set to require React.js and my cv says React. that's it. that's the whole thing. a full stop. We have been rejecting every qualified applicant since april over punctuation, while i sat in weekly meetings being told the market was tough. if you've been getting instant rejections from places you're clearly qualified for, it is very possibly not you. Anyone else tested their own funnel? i'm now scared to look at the other two requirements

Mildly funny that #PowerBI #DAX TREATAS can be read as "tretas", or "bullshit", in Portuguese.

Decided to be a slight karen and send an email about it, because I imagine there's been an error in generating the powerBI report given that we got data last Sunday.

Disappointing but I am hopeful it will be fixed sometime on Monday.

Ball 1 was drawn 314 times in 2,053 draws; ball 14, only 239. A pattern? No: chi-square 48.4 vs. 60.5, and consecutive numbers 52.85% vs. 52.87% in theory. Seeing a pattern isn't finding a signal.

PowerBI has literally had to make a new file type in order to allow AI to create projects automatically lol.

574 - Microsoft can see the download count on every visual in AppSource. The most popular free ones should already be native features. Remember hacking together a Gantt chart just to ship a timeline?

From a dev perspective it might be a hot take, but using VB, Wix/SquareSpace, PowerBI, cursor/claude are basically all the same skill set. Far fewer people are "real" coders that claim to be. Because "real" is often... Well... "Really useless" 73% of the time.
