Indeed. That was what PowerHell in Windows was to try and fix.
But the "can fix this with a text editor" principle is incredibly compelling despite all of the management pain.

I don't come from the world of Microsoft platform love, but PowerShell 7? I'm not uncomfortable holding its hand in public. It can call my methods anytime (if I'm instantiated and in scope).
PowerShell 5 was getting there. Uncomfortable, but doable.
