#pre-Trump
Thank you for calming our nerves pre election. And now we will need you for the next two years cause Trump ain’t done yet.

lot of people trying to figure out how to walk back their pre-emptive surrender to trump, this evening

Creating a time machine just to show the pre-Trump version of such people what they will become

AXIOS: “Trump vows to protect Musk, floats pre-emptive pardons.”

Aren’t y’all tired of this? The oligarchy is playing in our faces. Please vote. 🗳️

Trump: "Watching the Pre-Election Results on FoxNews, but I can't stand Jessica Tarlov's voice — DUMB AS A ROCK, but it's the voice that gets me. Have to go somewhere else until that LOSER is off the air — I'll be back later! President DONALD J.
TRUMP"

And I haven't done the math on it, but well over half of the new Dem House caucus is going to be folks who took office after Trump's first inauguration. The folks whose frame of reference for governance is the pre-Trump status quo are going to be decisively outnumbered, and for the first time.

The word got thrown around but the reality is pre-Trump US was, by any objective standard, a fairly low-corruption country. Not zero, of course, but pretty low and aggressively prosecuted. And then came full-blown unvarnished kleptocracy, the real deal, and people can actually tell the difference.
More voters called government corruption crucial to their vote than any other issue, including the cost of living.

TKO's lurch toward MAGA? Pre TKO WWE was the largest single donor to the Trump Foundation. Linda McMahon exists. TKO has simply adopted WWE's politics company wide.
TKO has been nothing but a net negative for WWE’s perception amongst wrestling fans. From the lurch towards MAGA, to the excessive ads, to the endangerment of their employees for a glorified house show in a war zone. It’s a fuckin mess.

Pre Election Day, premier ford was out there telling Americans to vote out Republicans while Canadian did retaliatory economic warfare against trump and the U.S. lol

The “lunacy” of this “special little group of Republicans” who (checks noted) - nominated Trump 3 times? Did Q-Anon not pre-date Trump II? Pretty sure Stephen Miller was in the administration in Trump 1.

Hakeem Jeffries pre-surrendering to Trump, two months before the new Democratic-led Congress takes office, is a bold strategy. Let’s see how it pans out.

Imagine spending all that time and money getting these assholes into power, only for them to declare that stopping corruption isn’t a priority.

JD Vance trying to pre-empt Tucker Carlson’s issues with Trump was not on my bingo card.

I saw only two pieces pre-election previewing massive black turnout in the South:

16/ When news came pre-midterms that Trump and Miller were plotting a course for governing without Congress, I didn't raise an alarm because I felt people were misreading the reports. *Every* lame duck POTUS who doesn't have Congress tries to game out what he can do without having to go to Congress.

"This is obviously a warning for the Democrats. Trump is trying to get many of his most terrible priorities, including helping Putin, achieved as soon as possible, to pre-empt the powers of the new Congress."
Just put together this piece on the (freaking dark) appointment of Stephen Miller as Trump's Chief of Staff. Miller is best known for his anti-immigrant pose, but he is violently against supporting Ukraine and parrots Kremlin talking points. phillipspobrien.substack.com/p/trump-is-g...
Trump is going Full Putin with the Miller Appointment
Are you ready Democrats?

THREAD 4/4. In short, there is no strong evidence of a uniform white evangelical Protestant break with Trump or the Republican Party in the midterms. These findings are not surprising and are consistent with @prri.org pre-election American Values Survey and other pre-election polling nationally.

As millions of Americans stood up to Trump, Schumer bent the knee, funding the authoritarian agenda voters just rejected.

Now, he is treating his leadership as pre-ordained, saying “I will be re-elected as majority leader.”

We say, not so fast: act.indivisible.org/sign/tell-de...

Trump gonna start pre-pardoning everyone.
November 5, 2026 at 8:40 AM
I think a lot of people who support the pre-Trump status quo want Schumer to be majority leader. My view is settling for that will be just as disastrous as it was in 2024.

(just want to clarify that i had no part in this, they've just reverted to their pre-trump total disengagement with electoral politics)

"Don't demand that Trump resign, because he won't do it" is obeying-in-advance, self-limiting, pre-Nov-3rd political thinking.

In the new, post-midterm era, we have the self-respect to demand what we want to happen instead of getting MAGA's permission, and trust that the country will side with us.
This is dumb. He won’t resign and they won’t make him. Meaning the GOP.

Any Dem presidential candidate must pledge to promptly return DC to its pre-Trump architectural form

All his territorial pissings must be scrubbed

They went to rallies with pre-printed signs saying "mass deportation now." They made incessant racist and homophobic jokes. They praised Hitler. Misogyny was practically a platform plank.

Trump and MAGA extremists ARE the Republican party. If anyone in the GOP says otherwise they're gaslighting you
In @nytopinion.nytimes.com

“Voters want normal people in charge, and they took their wrath out on otherwise normal Republicans who refused to push back against the lunacy, corruption and incompetence within the GOP,” Erick Erickson writes in a guest essay.

Meanwhile, fresh from his own election humiliation, Presidementia is still refusing to criticise Trump.

When asked about the repeated murder of civilians by Putin all Donald Lame Duck can do is spew pre-prepared false equivalence.
