it's not even listed in Dr. Stahl's prescriber guide as being possible (7th edition, I haven't updated to the 8th)

and this family member is too old to ever feel the effects of such a thing, even it it was developed over the course of many years (which is, again, not thought to be the case)

Know the facts first. Two GLP-1 treatments. Six calm facts before you talk to your prescriber. Chips: different active substances, different dose steps, a prescriber decides. #PatientEducation #UKHealth "UK Health".

Your prescriber should call them and indicate you cannot take steroids. This is not acceptable.

Our central office blocked a local prescriber and he called all confused why we couldn’t fill scripts from him…

uh sir I just read your case from the DA you pled guilty to sexual assault and over prescribing opioids and I believe you’re currently on house arrest!

also if you start a new med or increase dosage it WILL. take your body. time to adjust. i know so many ppl who expect instant magical results when in reality it can take around 6 weeks to see any change. if the side effects outweigh the benefits talk to your prescriber about dosage or switching meds

side effects deserve a real conversation with your prescriber. write them down, ask questions, and don’t stop or change anything on your own. not medical advice. severe symptoms: 911. in crisis: 988.

i don’t ordinarily like to ask for money for stuff like this but my prescriber is unwilling to give me a dose of ativan that actually works for me and i don’t really have any other way to handle my severely high anxiety

i’m not just trying to get lit or whatever

"Most psychiatrists do not need to be psychotherapists (I am not), but they do still need to be attuned to the psychological complexity of the whole person and the relational aspects of psychiatric treatment. Containment is not outsourceable, not fully".

The fine print matters here. Under the interim 503A path it still takes a licensed prescriber, a specific patient and a single-ingredient product, so it's narrower than the headlines make it sound.

i think that if you've been on adderall for 4 years with no issues and your prescriber says there's been no issues, the dea/fda should back the fuck off and allow your prescriber to give you refills on your adderall script instead of forcing you through this song and dance of having to meet monthly

Polypharmacy is especially risky for older people. Have ALL your drugs reviewed at least yearly. Tell your prescriber about everything, including recreational drugs, supplements and OTCs.

Worth adding for readers: the compounding route still runs through a licensed prescriber and pharmacy, which is a very different setup from the research-use vials sold online with no guidance attached. Prescription access is the key change here.

...situation is the sheer IMPUNITY that AI companies currently enjoy. ChatGPT was *literally making shit up* about how seizure medications are managed and dosed, and while any prescriber that gave that advice would rightfully be strung up and face criminal charges, OpenAI will likely skate free.

I keep getting huge amounts of pills I haven't told my prescriber that I stopped taking, lol. Have to figure out what to do with them.
