Beginning my pressure canning journey! 📚 Just like everything else, things are different up here at 5,000ft above sea level. Lots to learn!

Oh my goodness, I made the most amazing bean soup tonight! It may be the best most flavorful soup I’ve ever made! Also got English muffins ready to go tomorrow morning they will rise overnight.

#PressureCanning all day today. Planning on 3 rounds of beans, and maybe a bonus 4th round because I soaked too many chickpeas. My canning pantry is my version of fast food, saves $$, keeps me safe and sane (I have #CeliacDisease), is #sustainable, and helps planning meals #ADHD friendly.

I’m determined to learn canning this year. My mom gave me my aunt’s old pressure canner years ago and I never even looked at it. Clearly it needs a cleaning and a new gasket. The copyright in the instruction booklet says 1958. 😳 #canning #pressurecanning #foodpreservation

The pressure canner she's using is an All American
🤣 it's the only pressure canner I've ever seen that made me slightly nervous 💗 I want one 😂
🤭 I'd never eaten black beans until 1999 in the Albuquerque International Airport in black bean soup 🤭😆😭 which makes you gassy

Todays canning project: turkey soup. Prey for me. I’m hoping my jars don’t bust! I had one bust when I did my broth. Boo!

🤣 I'm going to do this too🎊
As soon as I convince myself to peel more potatoes 🥔
Omg, y'all know my purple 💜 skinned sweet potatoes are curring and they still look bigger than I thought 🤗
