THE MEDEA PROJECT – Veröffentlichen Kharon: Forbearance mit rohen, unveröffentlichten Demo-Fassungen Als The Medea Project im Juni letzten Jahres ihr zweites Studioalbum „Kharon" veröffentlichten, blieben zahlreiche verworfene Frühfassungen zurück – die rohen, kavernösen Klänge der ursprünglichen Demos und Schreibsitzungen, die sich weigerten zu verschwinden und die Band während der Entstehung des Livealbums „Live At Dingwalls" sowie der EP „Akkadian Artefacts" weiter verfolgten. Nun gibt die Band diesen unruhigen Geistern nach: „Kharon: Forbearance" erscheint am 7. September über BDB Studios in limitierter CD- sowie digitaler Auflage, versehen mit einer düsteren, verwitterten Neuinterpretation von Daniele Serras (bekannt für Arbeiten mit Stephen King, Clive Barker, Shining) eindrucksvollem Kharon-Artwork. Albträumerisch, verzerrt und bedrückend zieht Opener „Absence" die Hörer direkt in den Sog dieses ungezähmten Chaos, während sich Tracks wie das Echo-durchzogene „The Cave Song" und das mächtige „The End" durch die urzeitliche, dunkle Kraft der Band arbeiten. Von der unmittelbaren Trauer in „Purgatory Trapped" über die ungezügelte Leidenschaft von „Stygian Surf" bis zum schmutzigen Doom von „Tartarus Waltz" und der brennenden Intensität von „Dying Sun" verlangen diese rohen, ungeschliffenen Frühversionen danach, endlich gehört zu werden. THE MEDEA PROJECT – Release "Kharon: Forbearance" Featuring Raw, Unreleased Demo Versions When The Medea Project released their second full-length album, "Kharon," in June of last year, it left behind numerous discarded early versions — the raw, cavernous sounds of the original demos and writing sessions that refused to fade, continuing to haunt the band throughout the making of the "Live At Dingwalls" album and the "Akkadian Artefacts" EP. Now, the band has given in to these restless remnants: "Kharon: Forbearance" arrives September 7 via BDB Studios on limited-edition CD and digital formats, featuring a dark, distressed reworking of Daniele Serra's (known for work with Stephen King, Clive Barker, Shining) striking Kharon artwork. Nightmarish, distorted, and oppressive, opening track "Absence" plunges listeners straight into the chaos, while tracks like the echoing "The Cave Song" and the imposing "The End" channel the band's primal, dark power. From the immediate grief of "Purgatory Trapped" to the rampant passion of "Stygian Surf," the grimy doom of "Tartarus Waltz," and the burning intensity of "Dying Sun," these raw, unrefined early incarnations demand to be heard.
