I was able to squeeze in one last summer read before I head back to work tomorrow, and I am so glad that I did.
Growing Home is magical. I think it might be the best middle grade book to read aloud from 2025. The characters are so unique and unforgettable. What a fun book!!!!

Found the first few chapters particularly good. Discussion of Bowlby & attachment etc. Particularly liked ideas around avoiding projecting your own emotions/being a container for others. "School Refusal" (not my preferred term) chapter needs development to capture and probably should be /1
