A Python package for creating process flow diagrams with hidden source code

Dear All, I have been using 3-D model logic extensively to create models on flexsim but now I would like to slowly transition to using process flow to create realistic animations. Consequently, I was in the process of creating a simple waiting line animation in order to validate standard queuing formulas. However, I had question on the best way to collect statistics from objects when used in conjunction with the process flow. When I try to create standard dashboards (Average Content, Staytime) and “sample” the props (entrance and exit), they don’t seem to be collecting any data. I would like to track visually using a chart how many people are entering and leaving. I was hoping the props would be able to track these but they are not. I was also trying to capture the measures of average time spent in the system and average number in the system but was unsure how to do this if the entrance and exit prop would not count person entering and leaving the system. What might be the best way to capture these two measures? Here I am defining the “system” to include when the person enters from the entrance, walks to the line, waits in the line, gets served by the teller and then leaves via the exit. I also wanted to develop a dashboard that shows utilization of the three tellers using the state chart. When I run the animations, the status says that it is “providing care” and being “idle” but the state chart for instance is not capturing how long tellers are in these states as they typically would in the 3-D model logic. I have a processor representing a machine that is being loaded and unloaded by a robot. As soon as the robot places the item at the processor, it begins processing. I want the processor to wait until it receives a message from the robot indicating that the robot is "out of the machine" and safe to start processing. I would prefer to use a custom code in processflow to send the message from the robot and an on message trigger on the processor.

So, I have this model and I’d like some guidance on the following: 1. Is there a way to make all TaskExecuters (AGVs) follow the same logic without rebuilding or copying the entire ProcessFlow every time, especially when using the Experimenter? 2. Is it possible to use custom functions instead of the default FlexSim energy-consumption settings for AGVs? For example, can I model recharging (regenerating energy) and make energy usage depend on speed and distance traveled? 3. How can I display the AGV’s state of charge (SOC) on the dashboard?

Hello everyone, I am currently practicing how to find the best transportation route. My goal is to determine the optimal route that achieves the shortest total distance, while keeping the quantity of goods delivered to each warehouse the same. At present, the model still follows the original transportation plan. I have already applied this model  (routeoptimizationdemo-1_1_autosave) including the configuration of Parameters and the ProcessFlow, but it has not yet worked successfully. Therefore, I would like to ask for your advice on how to correctly configure the Parameters and ProcessFlow for finding the best transportation route. The figure below shows my current setup, and I have also attached my model (AR2.1) for reference .

Hello everyone, I am currently practicing **how to find the best route for material handling.** My model consists of 13 warehouses, and at present, the transportation follows the original plan. However, **I want to determine the optimal transportation route that yields the shortest total distance while maintaining the same amount of goods delivered to each warehouse.** I have already created a preliminary ProcessFlow and configured the parameters for all 13 warehouses. I have also set up performance indicators, including the total distance and the average transportation time. This time, I have also attached my model. Thank you.

Hello everyone, II’m just starting to explore the **Fluid objects** in FlexSim. Most of my operations are simple transfers or processes with possible _losses_. However, in some cases my process actually **generates additional fluid**. * **Input:** 1 m3 * **Output:** 1.14 m3 (Ratio = 1.14, i.e. +14% mass gain) Using **Loss Value** → works only for losses (0…1), not gains. Capturing On Output Change (or On Input Change on the downstream tank) in a ProcessFlow and pushing the extra fluid via FlexScript (pushfluid() or addcontent()). This seems promising, but I’m not sure what is the cleanest approach to avoid timing issues (e.g., fluid already moving downstream before the extra is added). My question:  What is the **best practice in FlexSim Fluid** to model such “mass gain” processes, where output flow > input flow (ratio > 1, e.g. Input 1 → Output 1.14)? and how do you handle synchronization so that the extra fluid follows the same path/timing as the base flow? Any insights, examples, or best practices would be very welcome

The ‘Basic AGV’ ProcessFlow object contains a >behaviour/eventfunctions/OnCreate node. When creating a >behaviour/eventfunctions/OnCreate node on a Global List object, this OnCreate does not seem to execute. How can I apply code that I want to execute when the Global List object is created?

Hello, I'm working on this model and i need help, i'm stuck on some points. 1. I need to split the rack into two parts (for now, 3 bays each). To do this, i labeled the rack with "ASRS" so that it stores items based on the "RackPosition" label. However, i want each ASRS to handle one side of the rack (currently they share it), and I don't know how to set this condition or if better use two independent racks**.** , i try with the processflow to control the ASRS's 2.  The rack starts with an initial stock created from another source. The order of operations for the two SRSRs should always be: first, take an item from the conveyor, then take another from the rack and place it in the queue "stock1" . But at the beginning, while stock is arriving at the conveyor, to optimize the ASRS, it should start by moving the initial items from the rack to stock1,. Right now, it's wait until an item arrives at the conveyor. I know it's because first it's acquiring the resource to pick up the item from the conveyor and then unload another one**.** , but I don't know how to fix it, i try to used wit the list2 (pull from list), but doesn't work. I'm encountering a Navigation Error in FlexSim where the AGV network cannot resolve the route for TaskExecuter1_1. The message says: _“Could not find a valid path to the destination. Destination: Tools/ProcessFlow/Scheduling Flow/Create Object”._ _The intention is for the AGV to travels to kitchen collect and to the SOC lift in the diagram below._ How can I verify that the destination control point defined in the Create Object activity is connected to the AGV path network? Hi all, [Flexsim 25.0.1] I'm trying to model multiple what-if scenarios and while attempting to close off a couple of the output ports going out from the conveyor exit transfer,  i realized i am not able to do so within the process flow using the custom code, as it closes all output ports. Is there any solution that i can use to say in process flow, close output ports 2 and 3 and keep on sending to output port 1? Attaching a simple model. Thank you.

Hello all, I'm having a strange error that I'm not able to properly address. I'm simulating a process with a conveyor that has several stations that only allow the items pass from one station to the next one if they are free. This last behavior is done via ProcessFlow with event-listeners. The system works perfectly until a certain point in which FlexSim raises the error Executive::processeventinlist() when one token gets waiting in a "Wait for Event" block for the next station "On Process Finish" but there's no item in that station. The token has gone to the "Wait for Event" because previously it has being sent to that execution branch in a decision point where checks if next station is in "STATUS_IDLE". So for some reason, after 46000 s approximatelly it crashes. You can test it with the "Fast Forward" execution. Right know I'm only validating the "Buffered Layout" logic. Could you tell how to avoid this problem? Better way to implement this or avoid this event detection failure? Thanks in advance.

I am using query that looks for a specific named-operator on a group to "acquire" a resource in processflow.  It seems to work but has really slowed down the model since there are 13 different operators and several activity points where I want to acquire them.  I would like to speed up the operation and was wondering if it is possible to do a query on "acquire" to look at a named group and point to a specific member.  If, for example, the third member of the group is what I need for a specific activity, I would just point to the index value of 3 in the group.  Is this possible?  If not, are there other suggestions on how to speed things up?  Thanks!

Hello, Two types of products are moved to 3 cells. Each cell has two branches that the process could utilize for completion. Issue 1: The resource "Carrier" is acquired and sent to 3 locations. the resource is visible and stays acquired in the delay activity prior to joining. However, the resource is no longer acquired after the token moves to the Join function in 2 locations. It remains acquired in the first location but not the other two. Could you please help me understand why this is occurring? Issue 2: I added a wait for event to prevent token buildup in acquiring resources. The idea is to ensure the queue is created upstream (prior to travelling to Robot cell) instead of creating a queue in each cell location. Can this be done by making the token wait with a Max idle time slightly higher than the cycle time so the tokens waiting will go the cells where the demand has been generated? Could you please suggest a better methodology to solve this issue? Thank you for your help.
