Around the world, polarizing political strategies are pushing societies into a vicious cycle of zero-sum politics and eroding democratic norms. If democracies are to escape this trap, wise choices and innovation by prodemocratic politicians will be needed.

The more disengaged partisans don't believe there is authoritarianism afoot, or else disbelieve that antifascists are prodemocratic. The engaged ones? They know what's afoot, they want what's afoot.
I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.

This kind of autolytic stupid is only repaired by a regime change. And not of the "civil rights meant a different regime" kind, but "Second American Republic" kind.

There are, but mainstream news doesn't seem to be doing any or enough positive coverage of the peoples fight back. It is large it is encouraging. The world support is enormous with the people, bluesky has been a great place for the prodemocratic America community to share inform & support each other

I think the issue is Corbyn and his team are making decisions that we should be making. There's already an anticapitalist prodemocratic faction formed because of this drama
