They are afraid of the messyness that comes from stepping outside a simple, manichean narrative. That complexity and contradiction introduce potential fracture points in their ideology, or at least the arguments/stories they tell to stabilize and propegate it.

NS Health happy to stay silent & let the BS propegate into our hospitals that have to close their ERs & cancel surgeries because staff are perpetually sick. Dr. Strang still won't even tell NS that COVID is airborne, let alone that N95 masks, air filtration & vaccinations prevent it from spreading.

When assailed by heat I feel a rejection of life itself. The idea that you can actually do anything in life, that the actions in life can have any meaning to begin with. (Perhaps ironic that what rejects us is the sun, one of the reasons life can propegate). I feel I become a lifeform that just "is"

I always recommend squash to new gardeners, because it's, well not immediate gratification because nothing in gardening is, but they grow quickly!

About a month ago, I posted about the clipping I took from a certain lilac bush planted in the early 1840s by a famous person. Lilac is notoriously difficult to propegate. Of the six clippings I tried to start, ONE ROOTED! Now it just needs to start growing new leaves!
