If Trump hadn’t successfully strung out the prosecutions to delay the trials, he and others would be in prison now for the crimes they committed.

I don’t disagree with that they may just be playing it ultras safe bc of their locale. They are winning on the affordability messaging so ride that wave. The prosecutions and all that will come into focus more after we clean their clocks.

While they get away with it, it will keep happening, not until the number of arrests, prosecutions and sentences rise, will there be a drop in numbers.

One of the things stopping me from being the Perfect Liberal is that I am not opposed to the death penalty. There’s a *LOT* of judicial reform required to correct its correct posture, but that is true across the board of how prosecutions and sentencing occurs.

AGREED, EXCEPT for your false blame of honorable Biden, Harris & Garland who all followed USA Constitution and Law to the T. Biden lawfully allowed Smith/Garland full independence (avoiding Trump’s claim of weaponizing DOJ). Smith prosecutions were derailed by SCOTUS/Cannon/REPUBLICANS! BLAME THEM!

Run the investigations and any subsequent Prosecutions, like you only have 4 years

The majority of those who actually deal with prosecutions of war crimes and genocides offer opinions that disagree. And what they reference in the Geneva codes and International case law is compelling. For the most part, they center themselves on war crimes, rather than genocide being evidenced.
The majority of genocide scholars think it's genocide

Why this and not other wars? Intent matters and (I admit) is debatable

But the possibility of genocide should be entertained

I think the more money you have to cushion you from prosecutions, the more likely you are to at least 'try' bites from forbidden fruit.

"what about criminal prosecutions or civil actions from those who lost out?"

Wont happen.

The $2 Billion fine will be used to compensate victims (mostly premier league clubs).
$2 Billion will be enough to buy aquiesence and is nothing to the UAE.

40 points sounds alot but might not even relegate.

You don’t think the deal will be a rap on the knuckles?

And what about criminal prosecutions, or civil actions from those who lost out?

Possibly, but is Jack Smith willing to seize the assets of Trump and his conspirators? I want an AG that will take the ill-gotten wealth of the Trump Administration in addition to prosecutions. Target the corrupt Supreme Court Justices (at minimum, Alito and Thomas) too.

Right. Way past time to start throwing the MAGA DOJ attorneys in jail for their illegal prosecutions.

Much as I would love to see a resolution to the last few days of crisis, there must be a lot of details of this Drumcree proposal which are being left out, even if the leaked information is accurate, because as it stands this is a recipe for hundreds of prosecutions:

There's also the Post Office scandal and possible prosecutions still to come. Another one we haven't forgotten.

Not just no. Hell no. No more god damn Republicans, especially not ones that helped slow roll any of the various Trump prosecutions. Merick Garland was Biden's biggest mistake. Fuck anyone claiming any Republicans should ever be in charge again.

3/3 law, prosecutions increased dramatically. Local police departments were required to submit lists of suspected homosexuals to the Nazi authorities. It quickly became dangerous for homosexuals to meet in public or even to recognize each other publicly.
