#MusicianSky folks know the name ProSonus, and @nolanews.bsky.social has an interview with Baton Rouge's Jim Odom about the company and what he's been up to since he sold it to Fender.

Does anyone have a copy of an old sampler CD called MusicBytes from Prosonus? There are bits and pieces scattered around the internet, however the full version is supposed to have 27 MIDI sequences along with full CD quality audio versions of them.

FL Studio or Ableton might suit an EDM or beat-focused DJ/producer; Sibelius, a film composer; or Cubase, ProSonus Studio One or Logic Pro, a full-suite music producer, sound engineer or sound editor. Each of these DAWs will pull magic out of your midi keyboard.

Update: Digging deeper in DiscMaster I was able to find higher quality stereo 22kHz versions of a select few tracks, they seem to be manually ripped from the CD. Here's an example (this is POPUP): voca.ro/1ddwFulgqWLd

I am once again asking for help tracking down ProSonus MusicBytes, volumes I and II. These sampler CDs only partially exist online (in other CD-ROMs searchable using DiscMaster), as MIDI files and downsampled mono 22kHz wave files. Full CD audio quality versions of the tunes are missing.

It's very dated (from the late 80s), but I feel the Prosonus Sound Library for the Synclavier and Fairlight CMI 3 was adequate quality, especially for its time, including for cymbal swells. Still use some of those samples, myself, even if my music is a dated focus.
