Si tu médico te ha recetado Protopic o Elidel, normalmente busca controlar tu dermatitis atópica sin abusar de los corticoides, sobre todo si el eccema afecta a zonas sensibles como la cara o los pliegues. Se dispensan con receta en España y no son “cremas de corticoide” sino tratamientos tópicos inmunomoduladores, con un efecto antiinflamatorio local. Al principio es frecuente notar calor, escozor o una ligera quemazón en la zona aplicada, que suele disminuir con los días.

Ich verwechsel immer Protopic und Tocotronic.
I find cold really helps. Ice packs, cold showers. But always have antihistamines, Benadryl skin cream, and (tries to avoid) hydrocortisone cream. Derm prescribed Protopic for eyelid area (it burns at first but is a miracle drug). On rare occasions have needed Prednisone.

Okay perimenopause pals, I need you. The dry skin thing is escalating. Currently, the areas around my nose are insanely itchy. It's been like this for months! Dry, red, burning itch. Went to the dermatologist last week and was prescribed Protopic. Non steroidal but it has flared my problem psoriasis areas way down. Itches like a bitch when you apply but it’s actually getting way less red.

a woman in front of me at the pharmacy was picking up cream for a face rash. caught a glimpse of her and it looked like mine. I wanted to ask if she was getting elidel and recommend protopic instead. but I felt that'd be invasive and did not

I think I found out the reaction. I started using a protopic (tacrolimus) on my face every night for psoriasis and according to other people they have the same reaction wherever they apply it when they have alcohol.

If you haven't tried tacrolimus ointment (branded as Protopic), you might want a look. It's non-steroidal, and it's effectively magic if the problem is auto-immune. It can make you sun-sensitive, but at these latitudes it's not a disaster.

I have eyelid eczema too these past years suddenly, I blame covid.
My docs gave up on allergies and prescribed Protopic and it's been fantastic. Apparently it's not a steroid so it's safer to use on thin skin for longer periods? I still go light but fingers crossed they find a help for you too!

Vet ikke om det er allergi eller kontakteksem, men den intense kløen rundt munnen og i armkroken forsvant etter to dager med et lanolinfritt produkt.
I over tre år har jeg prøvd med hydrokortison, Protopic og t.o.m. soppkrem uten at kløen forsvant, fordi jeg brukte Decubal med lanolin hele tiden 🫠

I've been using that, too, for sleep. But I don't have anxiety. Protopic just stopped working for me. ( Thanks for your concern.)

Apologies for jumping in. I was shifted from Dermovate (clobetasol propionate) to Protopic (Tacrolimus monohydrate at 0.1%) and it has been brilliant for me.
